We now offer the option for you to request services online through SDL Portal. To better serve our community we are providing a work order request form. We also have a maintenance shop where our mechanics maintain the town vehicles such as police cars, fire trucks, senior buses, etc. These responsibilities include keeping our streets clean, snow removal, landscaping, construction, upkeep of all road signs, traffic lights, sewerage, as well as many other responsibilities. Charm and history come together here – come visit us.The Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining the towns' public infrastructure. Main Street also hosts many other incredible events throughout the year including Celebration on Main (Harrison Township Day), The Fall Festival, Ghost Walk, Historic House Tour, and more. It is a truly Norman Rockwell inspired setting. Over 40 trees are illuminated and line the street to create a one-of-a-kind magical family friendly experience that culminates with the lighting of the Old Town Hall Christmas Tree by Mayor Manzo and the Township Committee. Those who attend enjoy carriage rides, ice sculptures, carolers, bounce houses, an arts & crafts Christmas Village, photos with Santa and Mrs. This annual Holiday celebration has been the “best of event” in Gloucester County for the past 10 years and is attended by over 10,000 people from the region. Main Street is also home to our towns signature event – Lights on Main. The Main Street district features several fashionable clothing and accessory shops, antique stores, sweet treats for the young and old, amazing eateries and specialty interior design retailers. Harrison Township is home to historic Main Street, Mullica Hill with dozens of Pre-Revolution to Victorian era homes built in the 1700, 1800 and early 1900’s, that create a truly relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere for all.
